art and sound installation for winterblast | November 2018
I installed 13 panels of heavy linen soaked and dried in wheat-paste. They were lit with warm peachy light and stuck out into the room. For folks who investigated the piece, they found headphones near the back. A continuous loop of spacey instrumental pop, written by Kerry Fogarty, was playing through them. Viewers listened to the music, one at a time, while gazing through vaginal shaped tunnel. The cut-outs were arranged such that one could barely make out the crowd on the other side.
